Humpty Dumpty

When I was a kid one of my favorite nursery rhymes was Humpty Dumpty. I don’t know if Barbara Bush read this one to little Georgie or not, but it might be good for him to brush up on it either way, because it’s a simple, yet accurate metaphor for Iraq and maybe even he could understand it. It’s a sad truth of life that sometimes no matter how hard you want to fix something, no matter how much time, energy and man power you put into accomplishing it, it’s broken and you can’t put it back together again. Such was the case with Humpty and such is the case in Iraq. Unfortunately, President Bush, much like a small child who broke his toy, doesn’t want to hear this and ignores anyone who tries to tell him. He stubbornly insists it can be fixed, and much like a spoiled four year old on a rampage with crazy glue, he continues to make a bigger and bigger mess which someone will have to clean up, probably after Georgie goes to bed.

Oh, no, you didn't do anything to offend me, I've just been a lurker lately, and haven't been commenting much. Hope you are having a great day!

Hugs,
Jane

Jane, Oh ok, lurking's cool, I just thought maybe I'd said or done something stupid, as I'm prone to stick my foot in my mouth occasionally-lol. Thanks. You have a good one as well.

With the build up of Al Qaeda, it would seem that this President would understand that just because he broke it (Iraq), dose not mean he has to fix it.

Let's Talk, yeah well you'd think he'd realize something logical and coherent once in awhile, but he never seems to.

Very well put, Leo.
This is an amazing and tragic event. The President of the United States is having a tantrum, and thousands of lives are being lost because of it.
