War Propoganda

Hermann Goering

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country”. –Hermann Goering

It’s very interesting to me that we can take a quote, from a famous Nazi, spoken sixty years ago and it reads as if it were the current propaganda plan of the Republican Party. Not a day goes by that I don’t hear a modern American conservative using these exact tactics to attack and attempt to silence any criticism of the Iraq war and the Republican administration. Kind of makes you go hmmm…..doesn't it?!!

Nazi comparisons with this administration have completely ceased to surprise me anymore.

Eerie's a good word for it, along with scary and disgusting. Thanks for the comment Sally.

Evidently, this guy doesn't have his own blog site, or is too medieval to know how to use it, since he feels the need to post his long-winded, nonsensical crap here.

This one I have to completely disagree with. What is funny is that there are more comparisons with the Nazis and the democratic party than the republican party. I wrote about it:

and

Anyway, the Nazis were socialists.

El, I disagree with you disagreeing with me!--lol I appreciate your comment even if you don't see the corralation. I'll check out your post on the subject. One thing though, Nazis were actually fascists, not socialists.
